Playtest At BabyCastles 10/14/19



This version of the game is the prototype version which included the basic controls of all the playable characters and the terrain environment. However, the Saeus didn't have any abilities yet.


Observations:

  • The terrain seemed too big, which might be caused by the speed of the players being too slow.
  • The players can go into the lake and the pond since there was no colliders on them.
  • The creature should become transparent when in hiding mode to give some visual feedback to the ability.
  • The players couldn't tell when their cooldown time for the abilities would be over, so there should be a timer UI.
  • It was hard to tell when the sun is rising, so we could add a UI as well as making the contrast of the light during night and day stronger.

Feedbacks:

  • There should be a way to guide the players to the creature/ locate the creature within such a big terrain.
  • Climbing a tree as mechanic.
  • The players can walk faster.
  • The mini map is useful.
  • The creature can leave a trail so that the other players can track it.
  • JThe human characters move faster/ same speed as creature or have some advantage in order to take picture.
  • Creature have another objective beside surviving, e.g. collecting fruits etc.
  • Creature can glow more when standing still for more than a few seconds to prevent the player from standing still.
  • Have traps and camera renewable.
  • Tilt the camera to see the horizon so it can be easier to tell the time before sunrise.
  • Balance the 2 human players abilities more.
  • More useful information on the minimap.
